About the project

Virtual Romania is a 3D space aiming to promote Romania and its local values in the world of Second Life.  The project is based on the accurate reconstruction of key places across the country and smart integration within the community of the virtual world. It will act both as the main hub for the Romanian users as well as the best 3D representation of the local attractions to the international community.

In the first phase, a replica of Bucharest’s city centre will be launched, an area with realistic buildings, streets and commercial shops open 24/7.  It will also be the main venue for events, either cross-reality (real events broadcasted in Second Life) or entirely virtual (PR actions adapted to the 3D space). The sim will occasionaly host live concerts with Romanian performers, fashion shows, contests, product launches and virtual meetings with real personalities from politics, media, sport or show-bizz.

Bucharest sim will also act as a great mirror of the real business environment by promoting local companies, products and services to the international community in a new, innovative way. To find out how your business can benefit of a virtual presence please click here.

Next phases will include: Bran Castle replica – a fantasy sim based on adventure and role-play games, Danube Delta – a romantic sim for exploring and relaxation and several other Romanian cities.
